Najbolji pekmez (džem) od kajsija - The Best Apricot Jam Recipe
Sastojci: Kajsije i šećer (Na 1 kg kajsija ide oko 300-400 gr šećera)
Ingredients:
- Apricots
- Sugar (300g - 400g per 1 kg of apricots)
First you have to wash apricots and then to dry and clean them. Combine apricots and sugar and mix until all the sugar is moistened. If you do not like larger pieces of apricots in your jam, mash them by hands. Put apricot mixture into a wide shallow pot and heat over medium - high heat, stirring regularly, until sugar is melted and mixture starts to bubble. Jam is ready once it holds together and does not run off the spoon when tilted. If jam is too runny, return to heat and cook, stirring frequently and repeating the spoon test every 5 minutes, until jam passes test. Usually, when you see the mark on the bottom of the pan, your jam is ready. Remove from heat and fill jars to the top. Turn the jars upside down and put them back into the oven.Leave them overnight to cool completely.
Jam is ready for testing.
